The underwater museum, often regarded as a tourist trap, offers a unique and complex experience with its vast water tanks filled with kelp, coral, and sea creatures, making it a top sightseeing attraction in the country.

The Kuala Lumpur Aquarium offers visitors a unique experience by submerging them beneath thousands of gallons of seawater and taking them through various watery landscapes, including Malaysia's highlands, flooded jungles, Amazon basin, coral reefs, and open ocean.

The journey starts on Level One, where visitors can see piranhas, electric eels, elephant-nose fish, and electric catfish, and also experience the DNA Touch Pool, where they can touch live corals and starfish.

The Tunnel in the Aquaria KLCC

Aquaria KLCC features a 90-meter walk-through tunnel with a moving traveler, a giant tank with an authentic shipwreck, and a stream with a giant water rat and an Asian small-clawed otter.

Visitors can also explore the Jewels of the Jungle section, which houses reptiles, amphibians, and insects like coatimundi, green snakes, and tarantulas. The exhibit showcases the life cycle of butterflies and offers a chance to take a break from the shipwreck and explore the underwater world.

Mysterious but Amazing

The Amazon Flooded Forest offers a variety of marine life, including oversized arapaima, tail catfish, archerfish, and horseshoe crabs. The Oceanarium showcases deep-sea creatures like octopus and giant blotched fantail ray.

The Weird & Wonderful section features chambered nautilus and sea jelly, while the Coral Discovery Section features coral and seahorses. Fish feeding sessions are held in the 2.5-million-liter aquarium on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Diving with Sharks

Aquaria KLCC is a vast underwater world that offers both simple pleasures and thrill seekers. Visitors can experience the thrill of diving with tiger sharks and stingrays through the Diving with Sharks program. The sharks are domesticated and have been in the aquarium for over five years.

Visitors without diving permits can join the Cage Rage program, where they plunge into the tank within a submerged cage. Despite appearing like a kid-centric attraction, Aquaria KLCC caters to all ages and offers numerous reasons to dive in. Visitors will not regret their experience in this elegant underwater world.
