What is the Malaysia Online Visa (eVisa)?
The Malaysia eVisa is an online application platform that allows applicants to submit their passport information, documents, and payments electronically. eVisa holders can enjoy single and multiple entries into Malaysia within the validity period of their visa. Types of Malaysia eVisa
Single Entry Visa (SEV)
The Single Entry eVisa (SEV) allows a single trip to Malaysia within six months from the date of issuance. This visa is suitable for tourists and students. For expatriates and medical visitors, a Single Entry eVisa is valid for 3 months.
Multiple Entry Visa (MEV)
The Multiple Entry Visa (MEV) is valid for six months, allowing multiple entries within this period. Each stay is limited to 30 days, and extensions are not allowed.
Documents Requirements for Malaysia Single Entry eVisa
To apply for a Single Entry Malaysia eVisa, you will be asked to submit the following documents during the application:
- Valid Passport : Passport must be valid for at least six months from the intended date of entry into Malaysia.
- Photograph: A recent color passport-sized photo with a white background.
- Birth certificates: Birth certificate copy is required for minor applicants.
- Confirmed Travel Itinerary: Proof of a return or onward flight ticket showing your travel details (Optional).
- Proof of Accommodation: Hotel booking details, a rental agreement, or an invitation letter if staying with friends or family (Optional).
- Financial Proof: Bank statements or other documents showing sufficient funds to cover your stay in Malaysia (Optional).
- Additional Documents (if applicable): The Malaysian immigration authorities may request additional documents, such as an invitation letter for business or medical visits.
Documents Requirements for Malaysia Multiple Entry eVisa
To apply for a Malaysia Multiple Entry eVisa, you will be asked to submit the following documents during the application:
- A recent passport-sized photo (as per official eVisa guidelines).
- A copy of the passport information page.
- Bank statement for the last 3 months (if applicable).
- A valid return ticket (optional).
- Birth certificates for minors.
- Additional documents may be required based on the applicant's country.
- A letter of invitation from a Malaysian entity (required for MEV applicants).
Note: Applicants will receive an email notification when the eVisa approval decision is made. The possible statuses are:
- Approved - The eVisa application has been approved.
- Rejected - The eVisa application has been declined.
- Request for Document - Additional documents need to be uploaded.
