There are two ways you can obtain a Malaysia Transit Visa

If you need to enter Malaysia to transit, you must apply for a Malaysia transit visa in the same manner as a Malaysia tourist eVisa:

• Online (citizens of particular nations).
• In Person at a Malaysian Embassy/Consulate or approved Visa Application Center.

Processing Time & Fees for Malaysia Transit Visa

If accepted, the visa will be sent to applicants electronically in 02 to 03 days. Applicants will receive their eVisa via email, which you can print out and present upon arrival in Malaysia as a transit visa.

• Download the Malaysia visa application form.
• Fill out the application form completely.
• Submit the required documents.
• The visa payment (bank transfers or cash payments depending on the country).
• Submit your passport, application form, and documents in person.

Required Documents for Malaysia Transit Visa

• A Malaysian visa requires proof of accommodation in Malaysia, such as a hotel reservation.
• However, you won't need to stay at a hotel if you only pass through an airport.
• Applicants may mention that they are only going to transit and provide the airport address as their Malaysian accommodation address.
